On 16 September Ben Davies, Account Executive from our Shrewsbury office, along with his friend Thomas Taylor, will take part in a charity skydive to raise donations for mental health charity, MIND.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem.1 But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. As with many mental health statistics, it’s hard to know if the figures really represent what is happening. They can only tell us about mental health problems that have been reported – many cases may go undiagnosed.
While all this can paint a gloomy picture, there is help and support available if you’re worried about your own or someone else’s mental health.
MIND provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They'll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner. They also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
The jump will see him freefall for around 45 seconds at 140mph before the parachute will deploy for a 4-5 minute parachute descent to safe ground.
He’s aiming to raise £500 of donations and is already well on the way to achieving this. Find out more about Ben’s jump and make a donation.
